Since our inception in January 1996, AER Worldwide has been committed to protecting the environment through reuse and proper recycling of electronic waste (eWaste). AER Worldwide has recently been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 certification as a direct result of our entire organization working together to establish and maintain an Environmental Management System.
The ISO 14001 is a voluntary set of international standards intended to encourage organizations to address the impact of their activities on the environment. The goal is to establish a common approach to environmental management systems that is internationally recognized, leading to improved environmental protection and reducing barriers to international trade.
AER Worldwide has established a company-wide policy on environmental issues and management. This policy takes into account all activities with environmental implications, such as working conditions and waste disposal. Additionally, environmental objectives and targets have been established, a system for periodic review has been established, and all employees have been made aware of the company's environmental impacts and the importance of conforming to the company's environmental policy.
AER Worldwide has implemented a formal system for documenting internal communications regarding environmental issues, maintains a system for handling external communications, and has established procedures for handling emergencies. Our company is continually looking for ways to improve the system and our top management is continually reviewing the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System.
